Think about how you take a screenshot on Windows. There is a much easier way to capture, edit, and save a screenshot using the Windows 11 Snipping Tool.

Follow these steps to activate it.

1. Use the Windows logo key + Shift + S keyboard shortcut to activate the Windows 11 Snipping Tool.
2. Pick a Rectangular, Freeform, Windows or Fullscreen snip option.
3. Edit the screenshot how you want using the features and tools within the app.
4. Click the Save icon in the upper right, pick a folder and a file format (PNG, JPG, or GIF) to save your work.
